Maybe the most long awaited platformer arrival of the year, the Spelunky 2 Steam page is currently up. The new roguelike platformer is to deliver on PS4 on September 15, however the PC delivery date has remained fairly indistinct, with a basic articulation that it would be ‘soon after’. Indeed, that data is currently marginally less undefined: Developer Derek Yu says they’re intending to get Spelunky 2 out the entryway “no later than half a month” after the PS4 discharge. That is presumably something like ahead of schedule to mid October.
“Just to explain once more,” Yu says in a followup tweet, “we are setting aside the additional effort to ensure that Spelunky 2 runs well on PC. That incorporates testing on the web multiplayer, however it’s not by any means the only thing we’ll be occupied with.” He proceeded to state that the advancement group was “endeavoring to ensure the two delivery dates are as close as could reasonably be expected!”
Spelunky 2’s new Steam page has a lot of clever screen captures, some highlighting a sloth, which is decent. It’s a definite page that befits the spin-off of such a darling game, one which our Spelunky devotee Emma Matthews described as “the ideal continuation for bringing players back.” After review the trailer, she stated: “Abounding with new foes and more precarious crossing, Spelunky 2 is giving indications that it will represent a genuine test for returning players,” she said.
