Xbox Game Pass March 2026 — Every New Game Ranked From Must-Play to Skip

Xbox Game Pass March 2026 all games ranked

Xbox Game Pass March 2026 might be the best month in the service’s history. Hollow Knight Silksong, Cyberpunk 2077, a new Call of Duty mode, and several quality indie titles all hitting within the same two-week window. If you’ve been on the fence about Game Pass, this is the month that justifies the subscription.

Here’s every game coming to Xbox Game Pass in March 2026, ranked from absolute must-play to safe skip.

The Ranking System

  • Must-Play — Drop everything and download this immediately
  • Worth Trying — Solid game that deserves your time if the genre interests you
  • Niche Pick — Good for fans of the specific genre, easy skip for everyone else
  • Skip — Not worth your bandwidth unless you’re desperate

Must-Play

Hollow Knight: Silksong — March 12

Available on: Cloud, Console, Handheld, PC

This is it. The most anticipated indie game of all time finally launches, and it’s on Game Pass day one. Silksong is the sequel to Hollow Knight, one of the best-reviewed games of the last decade. You play as Hornet, exploring a massive new kingdom filled with hand-drawn environments, devastating bosses, and deep exploration.

The original Hollow Knight offered 40-60 hours of content for $15. Silksong is expected to deliver even more. Getting it included with your Game Pass subscription is straight-up theft. This is the reason to have Game Pass in March 2026.

Verdict: Must-Play. No question.

Cyberpunk 2077 — March 10

Available on: Cloud, Console

CD Projekt Red’s open-world RPG arrives on Game Pass two days before Silksong. Cyberpunk 2077 had a disastrous launch in 2020, but after years of patches and the Phantom Liberty expansion, it’s now one of the best RPGs available. Night City is dense, the story is gripping, and the gameplay systems are deep.

If you skipped Cyberpunk because of the launch drama, this is your chance to experience the game it was always meant to be — fully patched, free with your subscription. The Phantom Liberty expansion is sold separately but absolutely worth it once you’re hooked.

Verdict: Must-Play. One of the best RPGs of the last 5 years, finally in its finished form.

Worth Trying

Call of Duty: Warzone Black Ops Royale — March 13

Available on: Cloud, Console, PC

The latest evolution of Call of Duty’s free-to-play battle royale mode, rebuilt on the Black Ops engine. New map, new mechanics, tighter gunplay. Warzone is already free-to-play, so this is more about the Game Pass integration and any exclusive perks for subscribers than the game itself.

If you’re into battle royales and CoD’s gunplay, Black Ops Royale looks like a solid refresh. If you’re burned out on Warzone, a new engine and map might not be enough to pull you back.

Verdict: Worth Trying. It’s free anyway, but Game Pass perks sweeten the deal.

Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf — March 5

Available on: Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, Handheld, PC

The sequel to Planet of Lana, one of the most visually stunning indie games of 2023. The original was a cinematic puzzle-platformer with hand-painted art that looked like a Studio Ghibli film come to life. Children of the Leaf continues the story with new companions and environments.

If you played and loved the first one, this is automatic. If you haven’t, go play Planet of Lana first — it’s short (5-6 hours) and beautiful. The sequel is expected to be a similar focused, gorgeous experience.

Verdict: Worth Trying. Beautiful, well-crafted, and a perfect palate cleanser between bigger games.

to a T — March 4

Available on: Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, PC

A charming adventure game from Keita Takahashi, the creator of Katamari Damacy. If you know Takahashi’s work, you know this will be weird, wonderful, and unlike anything else you’ve played this year. His games are always creative experiments wrapped in absurdist humor.

Hard to rank this higher without seeing reviews, but Takahashi’s track record earns it a “Worth Trying” on pedigree alone.

Verdict: Worth Trying. If you like weird, creative indie games, this could be a hidden gem.

Niche Pick

EA Sports F1 25 — March 4

Available on: Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, PC

The official Formula 1 game for the 2025 season. If you follow F1, this is a no-brainer — it’s the most authentic F1 simulation available with all the real drivers, teams, and tracks. Career mode, multiplayer, and updated regulations.

If you don’t follow F1 or racing games aren’t your thing, you can skip this entirely. It’s a great racing sim that appeals almost exclusively to motorsport fans.

Verdict: Niche Pick. Amazing if you’re an F1 fan, completely skippable if you’re not.

Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake — March 12

Available on: Cloud, Console, Handheld, PC

A remake of the 2003 Japanese horror classic. You explore haunted locations using a Camera Obscura to photograph (and defeat) ghosts. The original was terrifying and unique — using a camera instead of guns makes encounters incredibly tense.

Horror fans should absolutely try this. The Fatal Frame series is criminally underrated, and a modern remake with updated visuals could introduce it to a whole new audience. But if horror isn’t your genre, this won’t convert you.

Verdict: Niche Pick. Horror fans, this is a treat. Everyone else, maybe after dark on a quiet night.

Construction Simulator — March 10

Available on: Cloud, Console, PC

Exactly what it sounds like. Drive construction vehicles, build structures, manage contracts. Simulation games have a dedicated audience, and Construction Simulator is one of the better entries in the genre with surprisingly deep gameplay and co-op support.

Verdict: Niche Pick. Sim fans will love it. Everyone else will play it for 20 minutes and uninstall.

GreedFall: The Dying World — March 12

Available on: Cloud, Console, Handheld, PC

The latest GreedFall RPG. The series offers Bioware-style action RPGs with colonial-era fantasy settings. Dialogue choices, companion management, faction politics — it’s got that classic RPG structure.

The first GreedFall was decent but rough around the edges. If the series has been improving, The Dying World could be a solid RPG. But launching the same day as Silksong means almost nobody will notice it.

Verdict: Niche Pick. Could be solid, but terrible timing competing with Silksong.

Game Pass Tier Breakdown — What Can You Actually Play?

Not all Game Pass tiers are equal. Here’s what gives you access to what:

Planet of Lana II No Yes Yes Yes
to a T No Yes Yes Yes
F1 25 No No Yes (EA Play) Yes (EA Play)

Bottom line: Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass gives you access to nearly everything. Standard gets you most titles on console. Essential misses out on the big additions.

The Verdict on Xbox Game Pass March 2026

This month is stacked. Silksong and Cyberpunk 2077 alone make Game Pass worth it for March. Getting two generation-defining games within 48 hours of each other is unprecedented value. Throw in a new Warzone mode, several quality indie titles, and a Fatal Frame remake, and you’ve got more quality content than anyone can reasonably play in a month.

If you’re not subscribed to Game Pass, March 2026 is the month to start. If you are, clear your schedule starting March 10. Your backlog is about to explode.
