These games are only available on Switch 2:
- Mario Kart World — June 5, 2025 (launch title, already released)
- Donkey Kong Bananza — July 17, 2025 (released). Features fully destructible environments running at a stable 60fps. Development originally started on the original Switch but shifted to Switch 2 when the old hardware couldn’t handle the memory requirements.
- Mario Tennis Fever — February 12, 2026 (released). Developed by Camelot Software Planning.
- Pokemon Pokopia — March 5, 2026. A life-sim where you play as a Ditto transformed into a human. Developed by Omega Force (Koei Tecmo) with their largest development team ever. Read our full breakdown here.
- Super Mario Bros. Wonder: Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park — March 26, 2026
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Switch 2 Edition — TBD 2026. Enhanced version with Joy-Con 2 mouse controls and 4K support.
- The Duskbloods — TBD 2026. A FromSoftware title directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. Supports up to 8 players in PvP/PvE with over a dozen “Bloodsworn” characters. FromSoftware’s first Nintendo home console exclusive since Lost Kingdoms II in 2003.
- REANIMAL — TBD 2026. From the creators of Little Nightmares.

The Switch 2’s first-party lineup is strong, but it’s the third-party support that’s the real story. Having Cyberpunk, Resident Evil, and Elden Ring on a Nintendo handheld would have been unthinkable a few years ago.
